I have to say this past Saturday was the first time I got to meet Sharyn and Rob and they were fantastic to be around. I immediately felt like part of their group of friends and I had a wonderful time chatting with everyone. Sharyn has the most contagious smile and she was a pleasure to photograph. The wedding was at a private residence overlooking the ocean in Castine, Maine. I loved that you could see the ocean from the garden and there was BBQ!!
Their story: ”Rob & I met on Match.com. We met for our first date at The Cheesecake Factory. I actually tried to get out of it because I was caught up with my thesis and didn’t want to be interrupted for a stupid date. (I was in grad school for nurse practitioner.) He was surprisingly disappointed and truly understanding at the same time. He understood that, at the time, school came first. So, I finished my work and agreed to meet an hour later. We talked for 3 hours. He’s the only date that received a hug rather than a handshake.
Rob proposed during a walk through the cemetery the day before Easter Sunday. I had no idea he was proposing until he said, “Sharyn Lee Brunner, will you spend the rest of your life with me?”
The most important thing on my wedding day is to get excellent pictures showing our love for each other and the happiness we experience being with each other. With Rob, I can be successful and feminine. He accepts me for me-with makeup or without, shaved legs or not.”
