On a beautiful mid-November day Kenzie and Mike were married at the Hinckley Chapel. This Maine wedding photographer would seriously consider getting married in November because the light at 3:00pm was amazing. Kenzie did a wonderful job planning her wedding it was a great reflection of her personality. Kenzie is such a gorgeous and sweet person and Mike is handsome and dedicated. They make a wonderful pair and I wish them a lifetime of happiness.
When I asked Kenzie about their wedding and how her and Mike met this is what she said: “My fiancé’ Mike and I are getting married the day after our 4 year dating anniversary, and are very excited to get married and finally be able to be together. I work as a bank teller and go to school for early childhood education. Mike joined the Navy two years ago, and has been all over the place while I’ve been living at home in Canaan, Maine with my family. He started in Illinois, then spent almost a year in California and then has gone many places in the US in between time and is now officially stationed in Virginia Beach, Virginia, so needless to say we’ve lived long distance for the past two years. We’ve been through a lot together, life definitely has thrown us a lot of curve balls and has tested our love many times, but everything we’ve been through has only made us stronger as a couple and as individuals. You definitely never realize what you can do until you have to, in the matters of the heart and in life in general. But thanks to Mike joining I’ve been able to do a lot of traveling to visit him 🙂 but it’s not unusual for us to have gone 6+ months without being able to see each other. It will seem so nice when we get married and will finally be able to be together and live together, we’re very excited!! 🙂
Mike & I hadn’t seen each other in 6 months and I ended up going down to Virginia Beach for a visit this past October, and since we weren’t going to be together for our 3 year anniversary that November, we decided we were going to go to the mall and pick each other out a little present, so we split up and met back up in about a half an hour. I got him an awesome lamp that he really wanted, and a calendar, and he got me 365 days of cats calendar….. I was a little surprised that’s what he picked out for me, but honestly I didn’t really care, because being there was present enough. So then we went to this nice restaurant, ate a great meal & had a bottle of wine & dessert too of course 😉 and then went back to his house. We went outside on the patio in his backyard and he said he had something else for me, and I was surprised and had no idea, and then he drops on one knee and asks if I’ll marry him!!! I was SOOO surprised and started crying and of course said yes & then smacked him for buying me a cat calendar and fooling me like that hahaha. But it was a great day!” I knew Kenzie was a great match for me because she uses almost as many 🙂 (smileys) in her emails as I do. 🙂
