When you go to Greenville, Maine….aka the Moosehead Maine region….you experience what Maine is known for. It is known for its tiny towns with independent and kind people. It is such an enjoyable place–a place you feel safe and relaxed. The best way for me to describe the area is by telling you about a sign we saw on our way to the wedding. The sign read “We will be closing at 2pm today to attend Megan’s wedding” and it was on the pharmacy door. Megan has become a beloved part of the community and Mark grew up in the area. There aren’t enough words to describe their kindness and their welcoming personalities. I am so lucky to have been able to be a part of their Moosehead Maine wedding. I feel like I have friends for life, and I am looking forward to visiting again soon!
The wedding was beautiful! It overlooked the lake from a private estate. They took the traditional approach and waited to see each other until the moment Megan walked down the aisle. Mark’s expression was pretty priceless–he lights up a room with his personality and his love for Megan shines through in every interaction they have. Mark always has everyone laughing so of course, their ceremony was full of smiling and laughter. The dress Megan choose brought a slice of NYC to Maine. With its bling and open back, it was a stunner! On the way to the reception, we stopped at the local hospital to visit her grandma who had not been feeling well and wasn’t able to make it to the wedding as planned. She couldn’t have been more adorable, or more happy for her granddaughter. The images melt my heart. Mark owns the local bar “Woody’s” and they transformed it for the wedding, full of white lights, and long elegant tables. It was beautiful. The perfect mix of fun and romance.
