Memorial weekend in Maine is one of the greatest times of the year. It is filled with an influx of people, warm weather, and weddings! I had the privilege of photographing Abigail and John’s black and purple wedding at the Nonantum. The ceremony was beautiful. It was the perfect temperature, and their vows were personalized and written in response to each other….a truly unique and amazing way to say I do. The bridal party was full of wonderful men and women with many talents. Tony Boffa band had the dance floor hopping all night, and the photo booth props were the best I’ve ever seen done by Jerome Jakubiec! The cupcakes were delicious made by Two Fat Cats Bakery. The florals were done by Harmon and Barton’s.
Abigail and John are phenomenal people–highly educated, living and working in NYC, and made for each other. I know that because of the way he looked at her at the first look, and the way he complimented her taste in her dress and told her how much he loved it, the way their vows echoed each other, and the support they have in each other. Abigail and John met online! Abigail is from Yarmouth, ME originally and John is from the Bronx. One of my favorite parts of the wedding were the toasts by the best man and maid of honor–I loved how they spoke of Abigail and John dressing up for an 80’s party like they were an 80 year old couple 🙂 When they are 80 they will have these wonderful wedding memories! Enjoy your honeymoon you two!
