Katie and Adam were my last wedding of the season in New England. They had a Portland Maine wedding at the Inn on Peaks Island. It was a fantastic way to end the year. I love working at the Inn because the staff is amazing and the island is beautiful. I am so lucky to have such wonderful clients, their families and friends were so much fun to be around. What a joyous and special day it was for Katie and Adam. We captured memories for them that they will be able to show their children for years to come. There wasn’t a dry eye in the house as her mom watched the father daughter dance. Her mom is terminally ill and they did not expect her to be able to come to the wedding. She smiled and cried and just brought peace to the whole wedding. I personally know as I looked on and I saw her mom be able to experience their wedding that was a very wonderful thing. They will have great images that will allow her mom to live on in their memories and through stories forever. Unfortunately Adam’s grandma was unable to make the trip–but they hired the Kivalo video team to document the whole day so that they will be able to share it with her. Katie and Adam were wonderful to photograph–they were able to just enjoy each others company and it shows in the photos. Katie was gorgeous in two different dresses and two different veils. The band did a fantastic job and pretty much everyone danced until the last ferry came.
