Everything was beautiful and green, the flowers finally up, the trees in bloom….overcast and foggy made the colors pop and the day was both vibrant and relaxing. The rain gave the wedding a unique feel and atmosphere. Nothing mattered but having a good time with friends and family. The rain was just a way to make it more memorable and exciting. Mixing of culture–the grooms family is predominately Greek and the brides family has a mixture but is mostly French Canadian. What wonderful people they all were. No one complained about being outside in the weather, no one talked about the long drive….everyone had pleasant conversation about their children, futures, and reminisced about wonderful memories from the past. The conversation roared over the music lightly playing in the background. They danced–everyone danced–wonderful Greek dances! Round and around they went with different steps, joyous shouting, and stomping in tune to the music. No one could ask for more at their wedding than this. Great food, traditional Greek cookies, laughter, dancing, a gorgeous bride and groom whose love has been long lasting and will continue in their new journey as husband and wife. I loved being a part of the Greek traditions….I took home a chocolate coated almond to put under my pillow–the man I dreamt about I will marry. (good thing I always dream about my wonderful boyfriend Adam) What a lucky Maine wedding photographer am I to have been blessed with such beautiful, sweet, fun people! The Whitehall Inn in Camden Maine did a wonderful job of hosting this happy coastal Maine wedding. The cake was delicious and provided by Starlight Custom Cakes. The officiant Connie from All in One Weddings hosted a ceremony at the Vesper Hill Children’s Chapel that brought everyone tears of joy, the groom wore Armani, the favors were from Stonewall kitchen, and the dress (that made the bride think of butterflies in Greece when she put it on) was found in a small bridal shop on St-Hubert St. in Montreal out of the Impression Bridal Collection.
