Hiring CVC as your Maine wedding cater will be one of the best wedding choices you make-they are awesome! The food is delicious, the service is top of the line, and they are just great people.
1. How did you get into the catering business? Unbelievable as it may sound totally by accident I guess. My family and I have always been foodies. When I met Chuck I realized that he was a foodie too. After we were married we entertained a lot. And friends began to ask if we could cook for their child’s Christening and anniversary etc. So we started catering part time. Then in 1999 we decided to move to Maine and make it a full time business. We love what we do and have fun living the dream every day!
2. What tips would you offer the bride and groom in relation to making their wedding cuisine personalized for their guests? When I talk with a couple, I find out what their theme is, what their favorite foods are and customize a menu and style of service just for them! I have been known to prepare family favorites with their own recipe in place of mine.
3. What are some great ideas for new and different wedding meals? I think most couples want a memorable one of a kind gourmet experience so that their gusts can talk about the experience for a long time. Chef attended action stations are still in vogue and even better when the guests can take part. Roving stations on a cart passing out street tacos or ice cream sundae’s in little mason jars and anything in a shot glass is popular. There are no boundaries any more.
4 What is your favorite dessert? Bananas Foster over French Vanilla Ice Cream
5. What was the best thing you ever tasted at a wedding? Mongolian Lamb Lollipops. Yummm
