Salon 02 just up the block from the Westin where most of the wedding guests were staying is where the girls began their day. Their hair was beautifully done and Mary’s makeup was exactly what she wanted neutral and bridal. The music was playing and everyone was bustling with excitement because the day had finally arrived where Mary would be married! Mary and Doug are fantastic people. They have great hearts, engaging and fun personalities, and they truly balance each other out perfectly. It was such a pleasure to capture their memories and get to spend the day with their fabulous friends and family members. Mary and Doug choose an intimate wedding so they could spend time with all the people who were the most important to them. They were married in the Sacred Heart Church in Yarmouth, and enjoyed fine drinking, dancing, and dining at the Saltwater Grille in South Portland located right on the water with the best view of Portland. Carolyn Snell Designs created the most beautiful array of peonies, snapdragons, and dahlias for each bouquet and table centerpiece they were gorgeous. The cake and cupcakes were incredible and baked by Nothing Bakes Like a Parrott. The DJ was Dan from Maine’s Premier Entertainment, and the custom made seersucker dresses were from Rysa Ruth Designs.
How did you two meet? We met when Doug was visiting NJ at pub called the Dublin House. We actually saw each other from across the bar, Mary moved closer to him and Doug came over to talk to her and it was love at first sight.
How did he propose? Proposed on New Year’s eve, right after Midnight. Definitely surprised Mary, who usually never gets surprised. Perfect proposal.
