We met at a destination wedding in Negril, Jamaica in March 2013. I was one of the bride’s best friends and Seth was one of the groom’s best friends. The second we met there was an instant connection and we pretty much spent the entire weekend together. Though originally from Maine, Seth was living in Florida at the time and I was still living in Maine. When we left, I don’t know if either of us were really sure we would ever see each other again. He booked me a flight visit him a few weeks later, and in June we were driving from Maine to Florida together in my Jeep with all of my stuff! When you know, you know!
How did the proposal go? What is the story?
Seth literally proposed at the top of a mountain. Skiing and snowboarding has always been one of our favorite activities and Colorado one of our favorite places to go. Seth completely surprised me at the top of Vail mountain when he dropped to one knee (with a snowboard still strapped on his other foot no less!) and pulled out the most gorgeous ring I have ever seen. It was so unbelievably perfect, it will forever be such one of my favorite memories!
What is most important to the two of you about your wedding?
We really want it to be a big party! We currently live in Puerto Rico and though we come home frequently there just never seems to be enough time to spend with all our friends and loved ones. That is why we wanted to have a wedding weekend so that we can truly enjoy being with the people that we love most!
What is your favorite thing about your fiancé?
Nicole – My favorite thing about Seth is his drive and dedication. He is so unbelievably hard working but also one of the most generous people that I have ever met. Even as busy as he is, he always manages to put me first.
Seth – My favorite thing about Nicole is that she makes my life so much better just by being in it. She is so fun and funny, it is nice to be with someone who can always make you laugh.
