Kayla and Kyan were married on a beautiful sunny day at The Inn on Peaks Island. What a wonderful couple. Kayla did a great job with her navy blue and pink wedding details including the custom table runners. They had wonderful family and friends who DJ Dave Dionne had dancing the night away. The men looked great in tan suits and the women in long navy blue dresses. The night rounded out with a popcorn bar that hit the spot for those late night snack cravings.
How did you meet? “We met during our college years, I was a sophomore and Kyan was a junior at the University of Maine in Orono. We had first met speaking through Facebook, it was only colleges who could join then as it was fairly new and it turned out they were living right around the corner from one another. Ever since that point – – 6 and a half years later we are still inseparable!”
2. How did he propose? “At Malibu Wines in sunny California. Kyan was there on business and I was visiting for the first time. The second evening I was there Kyan made plans for us to visit Malibu Wines for a nice local Wine Tasting. The location was charming and beautiful, the sun was shining (February in Maine, do not get much of this!) and while being on the lower half of the winery they were surrounded by several mountainous hills. Once the tasting had ended a bottle of 2008 Semler, Cabernet Sauvignon Saddlerock wine was purchased and brought to the very top half of the Malibu Wines winery that was high enough to overlook a beautiful valley along with the delightful strung lights hanging by the trees down below. After about 10 minutes of conversation with some sweet words exchanged, then and there, Kyan mustered up the courage and proposed! (downplaying- it was very romantic!). I said yes!!”
