Wedding details for me are an important part of my job. I enjoy trying to make them artistic and often involve people. Moments are really what I am interested in capturing but it is nice to have creative images of the details that were a part of the wedding 🙂 These are things I am looking to photograph throughout the wedding day.
Morning:
- the invitation set (invitation, save the date, envelope, directions or information card if there was one, and RSVP card/envelope)
- the couples rings
- florals
- shoes and the dress
- jewelry and perfume
- heirlooms
- blue, new, old, and borrowed if applicable
- the bridesmaid dresses
Mid Day:
- signs
- transportation if unique or special
- scene setters
- the boutonniere before they get distributed
- the mens ties, and tuxedos hanging on hangers if possible
- wedding gifts like special cufflinks or a hand written card
Evening:
- the place cards
- centerpieces
- menus
- hours d’ourves and signature drinks
- place settings along with runners and linens
- cake, desserts, or cupcakes
- favors
Here are some examples from a wedding I photographed in the fall at Laudholm Farms in Wells, Maine.
